I am in Clinton Mississippi. And it is so great here! We have a nice apartment and it is a really awesome ward! So I got called to be a step father... which means I am finishing the second half of an Elders training. He is a cool guy. His name is Elder Conger and he is from Las Vegas, Nevada.
This Wednesday, we went to Madison for a district meeting. It was so nice not to have to teach at the district meeting anymore and just be able to enjoy it. Anyways, We have been working hard and the tough part was that I went from a car share to another car share. So last week, I was on bikes and this week I have been on bikes and let me tell you... It is hot down here and especially on bikes haha. I know you have seen this because of all the funny pictures I have sent you. haha
Then on Friday, we went up to a city named Yazoo and it is such a cool town. It is little and it seemed like everyone was home and that no one works up there. So it is good for missionary work. The only bad thing about it, is that to get the people to church, it is about 50 miles one way.. So I don't know if we will be heading up there as often because driving 100 miles to church is a lot. Even though it would be worth it, it is already hard enough to get people to drive 5 miles let alone 50. But we had a good day up there. We have some interesting investigators and we had a lot of fun.
Then on Saturday... my Mississippi family came down to Clinton and took me to dinner! The Alhalteh's came down and took me and my companion to dinner. It was so much fun. I had really missed them. We talked a lot and I will be seeing them again on Wednesday. So on Wednesday we are going on exchanges and I will be up in Ridgeland again so I will get to see all of the people I got close to. Besides that, there isn't too much to talk about. Have a great week!
Love Elder Corbett
